Tips
Personal preference can also play an important role when choosing a frame size. You may want to size up for a more comfortable, open-feeling ride, ideal for trail and transition riding. Conversely, you may want to size down for a more compact, nimble feel, which is often preferred for street, plaza, and park riding. In general, it’s best to stay within ±0.25″ of the recommended size.
When choosing a frame, there are several other dimensions to consider, such as chainstay length, standover height, and more. However, the toptube length is the most important measurement to ensure a proper fit.
If the rider is still growing, you may want to consider sizing up slightly. Please note that this guide is not intended for BMX racing or flatland bikes.
